Small Actions That Keep Us Close to Allah At All Times

It's just one of those hard facts – no matter how hard we try planning our day right, our hectic schedule still finds a way to budge into our carefully planned to-do list.

This, unfortunately, also leads us to forget to make time for Dhikr of Allah, apart from observing the five obligatory prayers.

If you’re experiencing the same problem, let us guide you with the best tried-and-tested tips that will help you overcome this hindrance and give you more Ibadah time.

#1– Recite Quran For 5 Minutes After Each Prayer

The best way to make sure you recite the Quran every day is to append this Ibadah with one that you’re already making time for – that is, your regular Salahs.

Reciting the Holy Book is made even easier when you’re using the Athan App, since it allows you to read the Quran directly from the mobile and even lets you bookmark Ayahs so that you can continue reciting from where you last left.

Bonus Point: Athan App also gives you the option of reading the Quran Surah-wise or Juz-wise, however you find it easier to maintain your streak.

#2– Fix a Regular Time For Making Duas

There’s always some part of the day where you have nothing productive to do and you’d rather fast forward that time out of boredom. For example, most people find themselves unoccupied while commuting to and from work.

You can make the best use of that time reciting the Duas you already remember or even learning new ones. This automatically creates a bond between you and Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

#3– Decide On a Particular Day of Each Month to Give Charity

Be it $5, $10, or more, giving in the way of Allah with the intention of helping those in need remains one of the most beloved deeds that takes us closer to Allah.

To ensure you don’t forget to give charity every month, you can set up a reminder on your mobile for a particular day every month. InShaAllah, Allah will increase barakah in everything you do when you make this deed a regular part of your life.

#4– Offer 2 Rakat Prayers (Nafl) Daily

Observing Nafl prayers also brings us closer to Allah and helps us attain better success and rewards in the Hereafter.

Not to mention, there is a sense of content that develops overtime when we make Nafl prayers a part of our routine.

Tip: The best time to observe Nafl prayers for most people is before going to bed. That way, you can end your day on a positive note and connect with Allah without rushing your schedule.

Once you start practicing these deeds and make them a part of your routine, you will definitely feel a change in your lifestyle in the best way possible.
