Salam o Alaikum!
Ramadan is a time to do good and earn countless rewards. So, let us promise ourselves to leave this Holy Month better than how we entered it!
Here are 5 small deeds we can add to our routine to make a lasting impact during the last ashra of Ramadan:
1- Donate / Feed a Needy Every Day
Donating a small chunk to charitable organizations and/or feeding a needy person or more every day can be highly rewarding.
Thanks to technology and social media, it is now easier than ever to donate or reach out to people where your charity will be the most useful.
2- Make As Many Duas As Possible
The last ten days of Ramadan are for seeking refuge from Shaytan. We should make the best of them by making several duas, doing Istighfar, and asking Allah (SWT) for His guidance.
3- Smile More
Smiling is also a form of charity. Spending hours without water and food during fasting means your mood is bound to take some noticeable shifts. However, a little smile and act of patience from your side can certainly help make someone’s day better.
4- Pay Zakat al-Fitr
Zakat al-Fitr, or the Zakat of breaking the fast of Ramadan, is an obligatory form of charity paid by all Muslims at the end of this blessed month. Indeed, there are countless blessings for those who give their share to those in need.
5- Make Realistic Post-Ramadan Resolutions
Lastly, the end of Ramadan is the perfect opportunity for Muslims to make realistic post-Ramadan goals. These could be donating to an organization every month, paying for a child’s educational expenses, or even continuing to eat healthily.
These steps will help you set the course in the right direction as you continue to reap the rewards for your good deeds, patience, and kindness beyond the month of Ramadan.
