(1080) What is said about the shortened praers and for what period of stay one should offer shortened prayers

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet once stayed for nineteen days and prayed shortened prayers. So when we travel led (and stayed) for nineteen days, we used to shorten the prayer but if we traveled (and stayed) for a longer period we used to offer the full prayer.

(1081) What is said about the shortened praers and for what period of stay one should offer shortened prayers

Narrated Yahya bin 'Is-haq: I heard Anas saying, We traveled with the Prophet from Medina to Mecca and offered two rak`at (for every prayer) till we returned to Medina. I said, Did you stay for a while in Mecca? He replied, We stayed in Mecca for ten days.

(1082) As-Salat (the prayers) at Mina (during Hajj)

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: I offered the prayer with the Prophet, Abu Bakr and `Umar at Mina and it was of two rak`at. `Uthman in the early days of his caliphate did the same, but later on he started praying the full prayer.

Narrated `Abdur Rahman bin Yazid: We offered a four rak`at prayer at Mina behind Ibn `Affan . `Abdullah bin Mas`ud was informed about it. He said sadly, Truly to Allah we belong and truly to Him we shall return. And added, I prayed two rak`at with Allah's Apostle at Mina and similarly with Abu Bakr and with `Umar (during their caliphates). He further said, May I be lucky enough to have two of the four rak`at accepted (by Allah).

(1085) How long did the Prophet stay during his Hajj?

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صحابہ کو ساتھ لے کر تلبیہ کہتے ہوئے ذی الحجہ کی چوتھی تاریخ کو (مکہ میں) تشریف لائے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جن کے پاس ہدی نہیں ہے وہ بجائے حج کے عمرہ کی نیت کر لیں اور عمرہ سے فارغ ہو کر حلال ہو جائیں پھر حج کا احرام باندھیں۔ اس حدیث کی متابعت عطاء نے جابر سے کی ہے۔

(1086) What is the length of the journey that makes it permissible for one to offer a shortened Salat (prayer)?

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, A woman should not travel for more than three days except with a Dhi-Mahram (i.e. a male with whom she cannot marry at all, e.g. her brother, father, grandfather, etc.) or her own husband.)

    4. Tap Location. If you see a toggle, make sure it turned on and blue.
      1. If you see "Location access is turned off for this device," tap the blue words > on the next Settings screen, tap the toggle to turn on location access.
      2. If you see "blocked" under "Location," tap Blocked > tap IslamicFinder > Clear & reset.
    5. Open IslamicFinder in your mobile browser and refresh the web page
    If you're using a browser other than Chrome, visit your browser's help center by visiting their website.

    2. Tap Privacy > Location Services > Safari Websites.
    3. Under "Allow Location Access," tap While Using the app.

    2. Tap General > Reset.
    3. Tap Reset Location & Privacy.
    4. If prompted, enter your passcode.
    5. You will see a message that says "This will reset your location and privacy settings to factory defaults." Tap Reset Settings.
    6. Open Safari
    7. Go to IslamicFinder
    8. To give Safari access to your location, tap Allow or OK
    9. To give IslamicFinder access to your location, tap OK
  3. If you are using a browser other than Safari, visit your browser's help center by visiting their website.
