Scopo della associazione: Rendere servizi di carattere religioso educativo e di altra natura a favore dei musulmani residenti o soggiornanti in Ticino, con i seguenti obbiettivi: promuovere la pratica religiosa e culturale dei mussulmani e la cooperazione tra i suoi membri e la societa svizzera. Approfondire la coscienza religiosa islamica e la disponibilità ad aiutare il prossimo. Indire congressi, seminari, istituire circoli di cultura e documentazione, organizzare spettacoli, rappresentazioni e rassegne cinematografiche, per 1 maggiore reciproca conoscenza di usi, costumi. Far conoscere la cultura islamica. Promuovere legami con altre associazioni in Svizzera e in Ticino in particolare per aiutare i musulmani a l'integrazione. Abilitare i musulmani ad adempiere i doveri religiosi verso se stessi, le loro famiglie, e le comunità nelle quali vivono. Adoperarsi per: la pace, il rispetto dei diritti umani, e l'emarginazione sociale.

Sunrise
Shurooq is the time of sunrise, the time when the upper limb of the sun just starts to appear above the horizon. This marks the end time for Fajr (morning) prayer.

The difference between Standard and Hanafi (Juristic Methods)
The only difference is in the Asr prayer. In the standard method (which is used by Imamas Shafii, Hanbali, and Maliki) the Asr prayer time starts when the shadow of an object is equivalent to its height, whereas in the Hanafi method the Asr prayer time starts when the shadow of an object is twice its height.
