Phatnawitya School is located at 52, Phang Muang 2 Road, A. Muang, Changwat Yala, Thailand. It was established in 1960. The school registered as an Islamic private school. The instructional programs were Religious and general academic courses. In 2003, a new curriculum ( the Islamic Studies curriculum for lower secondary school in B.E. 2546 (2003) and the Islamic Studies curriculum for upper secondary school in B.E. 2546 (2003)) have been employed instead of the former in which religious and general academic courses have been separated. Students have to study both religious and academic courses. In 1993, the school which formerly was an Islamic private school Clause 15(1) by law, changes to be the one in Clause 15(1) by law. In 2003 and in 2004 receiving the 1st category of standard quality of Education approved by office of the Private Educational Commission of Ministry of Education. Nowaday, there are about 2600 students are studying in this institution.
