Al-Hedayah is a full-time Islamic School serving all Muslims in Tarrant County. Established in 1992, it is registered in the State of Texas as a non-profit educational institution. Al-Hedayah has received recognition from the Governor of Texas, the Senate of the State of Texas as well as the Mayor of the City of Fort Worth, Texas. Al-Hedayah has been designated a Candidate for SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) Accreditation. A 12,000 sf Elementary School Building currently houses KG through Grade 6. A 12,000 sf Middle School Building is under construction for the 2002-2003 academic school year, which will increase the student body to PreK through high school. Al-Hedayah Academy follows the same State Standards, adhering to TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills); additionally, the students receive daily instruction in Arabic and Islam. The school administration consists of a Headmistress, Administrative Assistant, Secretary, the Board of Directors, and the Education Committee.
