Al-Hedayah Institutions, Inc is a full-time Islamic College Preparatory School from KG to grade 7 for the academic year 1998-99. the total capacity of he school is 180. Most of the teachers are college graduates from USA and certified (or on certfication track) by the State of Texas. The full-time headmaster, Dr. Bassou Al Mansour, holds a Ph.d. from University of Indiana and has been in the past, a full-time headmaster at Ar-Rahmah Islamic School in Baltimore, MA.
The school curriculum includes manadtory teaching of Arabic as a language and Islamiyat. The non-religious academic program is rigorous and based upon the best private schools in the area.
Al-Hedayah Institutions, Inc. is governed by an elected Board of Directors.
The oversight of the academy is provided by the Education Board appointed by the Board of Directors.
Future plans include building a middle school, a cafetaria, a multi-purpose activity center as well as a masjid to serve the relgious needs of Al-Hedayah community and others.

The only difference is in the Asr prayer. In the standard method (which is used by Imamas Shafii, Hanbali, and Maliki) the Asr prayer time starts when the shadow of an object is equivalent to its height, whereas in the Hanafi method the Asr prayer time starts when the shadow of an object is twice its height.
